Volunteers sought for public lands clean

WORTHINGTON — Volunteers are sought to help with a public lands clean-up project

WORTHINGTON — Volunteers are sought to help with a public lands clean-up project planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at three Wildlife Management Area sites in Nobles County.

Those interested in helping are asked to meet at the HyVee parking lot at 8:30 a.m.

From there, the group will divide up and leave by 9 a.m. to work at Lambert Prairie WMA, Bluebird Prairie WMA and Grothe WMA. Volunteers are needed to pick up trash, junk, old fences, barbed wire and metal posts. It is a collaborative effort with several area Pheasants Forever Chapters and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Come for an hour or all day — all help is welcome. Bring work gloves and protective eyewear. If you cannot make it at 9 a.m., just drive out to one of the WMAs to help.
