Friday night kicked off the 26th annual Twilight concert series in Salt Lake City, and keeping up with previous years the line ups don't disappoint. While indie rock standout Lord Huron headlined the first night — upcoming headliners include Death Cab for Cutie, Rina Sawayama, Father John Misty and others — the series is known for including local acts as openers.

On the first night, it was Little Moon, a six-member indie group from Springville heading north just weeks after breaking out on a national level. In May, the group won National Public Radio's Tiny Desk Contest.

The group beat out 6,000 other entrants and found themselves at the iconic Tiny Desk. Little Moon's win is special, they were unanimous winners as voted on by NPR judges.

Next up is their headline slot at Fork Fest, in American Fork, on June 16, ahead of the Tiny Desk Tour, which will take them across the country from Los Angeles to New York City.

For now, though, they’re performing in the Wasatch Front to the delight of the early-arriving audience. Little Moon is comprised of six members including; Emma Hardyman (lead vocals/guitar), Nate Hardyman (bass/guitar), Bly Wallentine (keys/bass), Bridget Jackson (harp), Chris Shemwell (drums) and Grace Johnson (electric guitar/keys).

Due to the size of stage space they had available to them only Emma, Bridget and Grace were able to play on Friday night, but that didn't stop them from putting on an incredible show. Little Moon has an array of music on streaming platforms as well as new music on the way.

Allie Crowe Buckley, an L.A.-based indie artist performed between Little Moon and Lord Huron, helping set the tone for a perfect night with clear and warm weather, a dream for concertgoers.

Allie Crowe Buckely put on a great performance with powerful vocals and was a perfect match in style and talent. After her performance, eager fans waited as the stage crew set up for Lord Huron.

Once on stage the crowd was captivated from start to finish as Lord Huron performed and joked with the crowd in between songs. While some of the shows in this year's series have already sold out there are still a few more that haven't, so there is still time to get tickets.

A few of the shows also include Utah locals like 26fix , Blue Rain Boots and Rachael Jenkins. Be sure to get tickets ahead of time as these shows are expected to sell out soon. As for Little Moon, we’re all excited to see what comes next.
